A Call to Righteousness
The days we are living in have to be the most awesome time in world history. One does not need to be a prophet nor a scientist to know that a higher power must intercede in world affairs in the very near future to prevent global destruction. It is comforting to know that there is a God who reigns over the affairs of men and that after sin has had her heyday and the sons of Yahweh awake out of their slumber, the world government will be taken out of the hands of tyrants and given to the saints of the Most High God. Our faith and confidence in these promises convince us that man does not have the power to do what our natural eyes would convince us he is doing, i.e., eliminating all living organisms from the face of the earth.
We are warned that there are to be trials and tribulations and a calling out of a company of purified believers. But many false prophets are proclaiming a deceptive message. When a, so called, Spirit-filled church can be deceived into applauding eloquent speakers who are denying the sonship of Christ, the virgin birth, spiritual gift ministry, the born-again experience, and the power of Yahweh to deliver souls from sin and corruption, it is time for the true sons to awake to righteousness and examine themselves to see if they are to see if they are missing the mark.
What does the word admonish us to do? “Come out from among them and be ye separate, saith Yahweh, and I will receive you,” 2 Corinthians 6:17.
Under the administration of the law, Israel knew sin was in the camp when Yahweh stopped working miracles among them and winning their battles for them. When this happened, the prayer warriors started seeking Yahweh to see why they were losing their battles. If we take into consideration that Israel of old is our ensamples, it should stir every hungry heart into seeking for the cause of the divisions and problems in the churches.
Many churches are being over-run by the enemies of the cross and shamed before the multitudes and the nations; they are fast becoming a mockery and a contemptible thing among the people.
Russia, with her new-found religious freedom, is pleading with the religious denominations of America to keep their corrupted music at home and not infiltrate their churches with it, but to no avail.
Medical bills and health insurance takes a bigger bite out of the American Christian laborer’s paycheck than they would think of putting into the offering plate. Many Christians spend more time watching sports than they do in Bible study, prayer, and church attendance combined.
A greater part of the, so-called, revival movement is geared toward comfort and entertainment and leaves sin and corruption undisturbed. The clergymen are aware if they deal with sin they will lose their position and the parsonage.
The Lord said that the gates of hell would not prevail against his Church; therefore, we need not despair. But if we, as individuals, intend to progress into Light, we must be aware that the call of Yahweh upon our lives is a call to battle the forces of sin and death; it is a call to present our bodies a living sacrifice. If we do not know what this presentation entails, reading the four Gospels and the book of Acts could be very enlightening.
Paul stood out in his day as a man who was totally dedicated to the Gospel. We comprehend something of his trials as we follow his trail through the book of Acts and marvel at his boldness. But when we see the consequences of his commitment, we can honestly confess that the suffering of this present time is not worthy to be compared with the glory that shall be revealed in us. I cannot imagine the void that would have existed in the Bible if Paul had never written his famous letters. As great as his ministry was, the future holds one that is much greater; therefore, let us hasten on into that glory.
