Are You Not Carnal and Walk as Men?
“For you are yet carnal: for whereas there is among you envying, and strife, and divisions, are you not carnal, and walk as men?” 1 Corinthians 3:3.
Are all baptized believers members of one Body?
“For as the Body is one, and has many members, and all the members of that one Body, being many, are one Body: so also is Christ. For by one Spirit are we all baptized into one Body, whether we be Jews or Gentiles, whether we be bond or free; and have been all made to drink into one Spirit. For the Body is not one member, but many,” 1 Corinthians 12: 12-14.
If we’ve been baptized into Christ, then are we Abraham’s seed?
“For ye are all the children of Yahweh by faith in Christ Yasha. For as many of you as have been baptized into Christ have put on Christ. There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither bond nor free, there is neither male nor female: for ye are all one in Christ Yasha. And if ye be Christ’s, then are ye Abraham’s seed, and heirs according to the promise,” Galatians 3:26-29.
Ephesians 4:4-6 tells us that there is one Body, one faith, and one hope: “There is one Body, and one Spirit, even as you are called in one hope of your calling; One Lord, one faith, one baptism, One God and Father of all, who is above all, and through all, and in you all.”
Confusion, strife, envy, nor divisions can cancel out the oneness of the Body. Denomination, segregation, nor separation can never disannul this truth. But these things reveal the need for the Body to become unified in love. The word of Yahweh cannot be changed; the believers must change. Yahweh’s word stands sure and steadfast and is unaffected by man’s opinions and carnal reasoning.
Ephesians 4:11-12 (speaking of the perfect man) says we should grow up, so we, as children, are no longer tossed to and fro. The ignorant are exploited by selfish schemers. The Church is destined to manhood; to the full measure of the stature of Christ. This is the hope, promise, and established truth, the spoken word—Yahweh will not fail. Yahweh is love, and love never fails (1 Corinthians 13:8).
Some feel that when Yahweh speaks of his Church, he is only referring to the part of the body that they are joined to. Yahweh’s Church is a many-membered Body, born of the Spirit; a spiritual family. Carnal eyes see only carnal things; spiritual eyes see the things of Yahweh. They understand the mysteries of the Spirit. Eyes of faith see the perfected Church. Yahweh, through his word, spoke a world into existence; that same word spoke a perfected Body into existence. As the Spirit manifests itself in flesh, it will reveal Yahweh’s glory.
Great responsibilities rest upon the ministers of Yahweh. King David could not bring the ark back by the carnal efforts of the flesh; we cannot bring the presence of Yahweh into the tabernacle by our carnal efforts. Man has tried to work it up, shake it up, scream it up, or buy it, anything but try it. Yahweh has a principle, or law. If we use that principle, the law begins to work. Paul said the law of the Spirit of life in Christ made him free from the law of sin and death. You cannot break that law any more than you could change the orbit of the planets. Man breaks the law of gravity by releasing a stronger power, but there is no power above Yahweh’s power.
We have a responsibility and the strength to bear it, if we go to the right source. “You shall know the truth and the truth shall make you free,” John 8:32.
Paul said that a child is a servant. Though he is Lord of all, children cannot be allowed total freedom because freedom comes with complete maturity.
Paul promised us spiritual meat, but spiritual meat is not found in the dead letter. If you are reading your Bible and hearing the same thing that any man would read into it, you are not hearing from Yahweh. Read 1 Corinthians 3:23 and 2 Corinthians 3: 9-14. See verse 14 in the Amplified Bible. Natural man judges after his natural understanding.
If spiritual things sound foolish, it is because we have a carnal understanding. The carnal mind is enmity against Yahweh (Rom. 8:7). The law is spiritual, but the carnal man perverts it and uses it to kill. The Bible is one spiritual revelation. The flesh is a veil, and it must be rent before we can see beyond the shadow (2 Cor. 3:6-18). The shadow always points to the reality and must be revealed by the Spirit (Gal. 4:21).
“The Jews answered him, saying, For a good work we stone thee not; but for blasphemy; and because that you, being a man, make thyself God. Yasha answered them, Is it not written in your law, I said, Ye are gods? If he called them gods, unto whom the word of Yahweh came, and the scripture cannot be broken; Say ye of him, whom the Father hath sanctified, and sent into the world, You blaspheme; because I said, I am the Son of Yahweh?” John 10:33-36.
“They know not, neither will they understand; they walk on in darkness: all the foundations of the earth are out of course. I have said, You are gods; and all of you are children of the most High. But you shall die like men, and fall like one of the princes. Arise, O God, judge the earth: for you shall inherit all nations,” Psalm 82:5-8.
