Led By the Spirit

Led By the Spirit

Education is a tool in the hands of the wise and I esteem it highly. But I conclude, from what I have observed, book learning, standing alone, does not produce an educated man nor can it qualify a man to be called a minister of Yahweh.
According to man’s theory, man cannot understand nor minister Yahweh’s word unless he goes to a seminar and is instructed in a denominational theology and taught the techniques of the trade. If education is the trade mark of a qualified minister, why does it not produce Spirit anointed leaders that teach the same message? If education is the one door to Spirit revealed truth, why is the world filled with segregated factions of the Body of Christ in a time when men are educated above all of their progenitors?

In view of these facts, one must acknowledge that education, though being an important help to us in ministering the Word, is not the instrument by which we are brought into full truth. In fact, it can be, and often is, the means of preventing one from finding the truth.

“Now about the midst of the feast Yasha went up into the temple, and taught. And the Jews marveled, saying, How knows this man letters, having never learned?”

Yasha answered them, and said, “My doctrine is not mine, but His that sent me, If any man will do His will, he shall know of the doctrine, whether it be of Yahweh, or whether I speak of my self. He that speaks of himself seeks his own glory, but he that seeks his glory that sent him, the same is true, and no unrighteousness is in him,” John 7:14-18.
How then does one come into the fullness of Yahweh’s truth?

Yasha said, “I have yet many things to say unto you, but ye cannot bear them now, Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth is come, he will guide you into all truth, for he will not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak: And he will show you things to come,” John 16:12-13.

The truth of Yahweh then is revealed to us by the Spirit of Truth.

I know there are things of Yahweh that are hard to understand, but didn’t Christ tell us, “…Yahweh has revealed them to us by his Spirit: for the Spirit searches all things, yea the deep things of Yahweh,” 1 Corinthians 2:10.

Yahweh can take his word, which is hidden from the natural mind, and by the Spirit of revelation open the word to us so it becomes Spirit and Life. We have the promise that by the revelation of the Spirit of Truth, we will be guided unto all truth.
Without the Spirit of Yahweh to lead and direct us, we cannot see (comprehend) the Kingdom of Yahweh. The natural man cannot receive the things of the Spirit for they are foolishness to him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned, 1 Corinthians 2:14. So, for us to understand that we must be crucified with Christ if we are to be glorified together, we have to let our minds be taken over and controlled by the Spirit as Yasha did.

“Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Yasha: who, being in the form of Yahweh, thought it not robbery to be equal with Yahweh: But made Himself of no reputation, and took upon him the form of a servant, and was made in the likeness of men: And being found in fashion as a man, He humbled himself, and became obedient unto death, even the death of the cross,” Philippians 2:5.

Paul, when writing to the Romans, tells them, “But put ye on the Lord Yasha Christ, and make not provision for the flesh, to fulfill the lusts thereof,” Romans 13:14. It is essential to be crucified with Christ that we may be raised in the likeness of his resurrection.

“Therefore we are buried with him by baptism into death: that like as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in the newness of life. For if we have been planted together in the likeness of his death, we shall be also in the likeness of his resurrection: Knowing this, that our old man is crucified with him, that the body of sin might be destroyed, that henceforth we should not serve sin. For he that is dead is freed from sin. Now if we be dead with Christ, we believe that we shall also live with him: knowing that Christ being raised from the dead dies no more; death hath no more dominion over him,” Romans 6:4-9.

“Let not sin therefore reign in your mortal body, that ye should obey it in the lust thereof,” Romans 6:12.

We do not have to serve sin. We are no longer under the rulership of sin. Sin does not have dominion over us. We are not subject (in subjection) to the law of sin. “If while we seek to be justified by Christ, we ourselves also are found sinners, is therefore Christ the minister of sin? Yahweh forbid. For if I build again the things which I destroyed, I make myself a transgressor. For I through the law am dead to the law, that I might live unto Yahweh. I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I. But Christ lives in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of Yahweh, who loved me, and gave himself for me,” Galatians 2:17-20.

Must we have faith “in” the Son of Yahweh? Yes. But it is much more than that; it is “by” the faith of the Son of Yahweh. We don’t have to depend on our faith alone to help us reach the truth in Yahweh’s word. We can have Yasha’s faith to help us make it through. Paul said the life he lived in the flesh was by the faith that the Son of Yahweh had.

“But that no man is justified by the law in the sight of Yahweh, it is evident: for, the just shall live by faith. But before faith came, we were kept under the law, shut up unto the faith which should afterwards be revealed,” Galatians 3:11-23.

The law was the literal application of the word of Yahweh. When the law was applied in the Old Testament, it literally meant what it said. Yet Paul said in Romans, “For we know that the law is spiritual: but I am carnal sold under sin,” Romans 7:14.

What was Paul saying? Was he not saying that he understood that the law was a spiritual law, but because the carnal mind was “sold under sin” the spiritual meaning of the word did not come through? The carnal mind is not subject to the spiritual application of the law. Neither is it a recipient of its glory.

We also find that trying to serve Yahweh by the natural application of the law is not pleasing to him. Christianity, in those days, was spoken of as heresy, but Paul confesses his faith in the new religion while still witnessing of the legality of the law.

Again Paul said, “But this I confess unto thee, that after the way which they call heresy, so worship I the God of my father’s, believing all things which are written in the law and in the prophets,” Acts 24:14.

That is, Paul had always believed the Old Testament and still did, even after he had accepted the atonement of Christ, which the Jewish leaders were calling heresy. He believed in the law before he was converted. He confessed he had persecuted the Church of Yahweh beyond measure and wasted it (Gal.1:13).

We know that later Paul became a tremendous worker for Yahweh. He taught his followers to walk after the Spirit and not after the flesh. What made the difference? He had always believed the law and the prophets, yet he had fought against the Church, thinking he did Yahweh a service.

The difference came with the Spirit of Yahweh. Paul no longer served Yahweh by his natural understanding. He said in Romans 8:2-4, “For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ has made me free from the law of sin and death. For what the law could not do, in that it was weak through the flesh, Yahweh sending his own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh, and for sin, condemned sin in the flesh: That the righteousness of the law might be fulfilled in us, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.”

“Is the law then against the promises of Yahweh? Yahweh forbid; for if there had been a law given which could have given life, verily righteousness should have been by the law. But the scripture hath concluded all under sin, that the promise by faith of Yasha Christ might be given to them that believe. But before faith came, we were kept under the law, shut up unto the faith which should afterwards be revealed. Wherefore the law was our schoolmaster to bring us unto Christ, that we might be justified by faith. But after faith is come, we are no longer under a schoolmaster. For we are all children of Yahweh by faith in Christ Yasha.

“For as many of you as have been baptized into Christ have put on Christ. There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither bond nor free, there is neither male nor female: for you are all one in Christ Yasha. And if ye be Christ’s then you are Abraham’s seed, and heirs according to the promise,” Galatians 3:21-29.

We see the Church today being governed by rules and regulations, because there is still so much carnality in Yahweh’s people. There is a price to be paid for complete dedication to Yahweh. The flesh trembles and rises up in protest each time the subject of dying out to our self control and the lust of the flesh is mentioned. Because we were created to be kings and priest, we have the built-in push to take control. However, when this desire is compounded with lust, greed, and pride, with only the natural understanding of man to rely on, then the results are confusion, disaster, and death.

“Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the spirit which is of Yahweh; that we might know the things that are freely given to us of Yahweh. Which things also we speak, not in the words which man’s wisdom teaches, but which the Holy Ghost teaches; comparing spiritual things with spiritual. But the natural man receives not the things of the Spirit of Yahweh: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned,” 1 Corinthians 2:12-14.

The natural man is not able to govern the things of Yahweh. Therefore, the natural law was given to rule the natural man because he could not comprehend the spiritual law, which is the law of Love.

Yasha, in answering a lawyer’s question concerning the greatest commandment of Yahweh, gave this statement, “You shall love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind. This is the first and great commandment. And the second is like unto it, thou shall love thy neighbor as thyself. On these two commandments hang all the law and the prophets,” Matthew 22:37-40.
Yasha demonstrated this kind of love to the world when he lay down his life for us. He said he was the Way and the Life, yet we go on and on looking for some way to keep our own way and to live our own lifestyles.

The writer said, in the book of Hebrews, “For if that first covenant had been faultless, then should no place have been sought for the second. For finding fault with them, he saith, Behold, the days come saith the Lord, when I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel and with the house of Jacob: Not according to the covenant that I made with their fathers in the day I took them by the hand to lead them out of the land of Egypt; because they continued not in my covenant, and I regarded them not, saith the Lord.

“For this is the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel after those days, saith the Lord; I will put my law in their hearts: and I will be to them a God, and they shall be to me a people: And they shall not teach every man his neighbor, and every man his brother, saying, Know the Lord: for all shall know me, from the least to the greatest,” Hebrews 8:7-10.

If we are to know Yahweh and his righteousness, then we must be lead by Yahweh’s Spirit. If we are to be of one mind and one purpose, then it is necessary to be led by one Spirit. If we are being led by the Spirit, then that law is spiritual and not natural. But if the fleshly mind is in control, then the law becomes dead letter and produces confusion and death, “because the carnal mind is enmity against Yahweh: for it is not subject to the law of Yahweh, neither indeed can be. So then they that are in the flesh cannot please Yahweh,” Romans 8:7-8. As long as the natural reasoning of man is in control of man, the natural application of the law serves as a schoolmaster to lead us to Christ.

In Christ there is neither bond nor free, Jew nor Greek, male nor female; therefore, we are all one in him. We can all know him. We can all be led by his Spirit. We can all come into his fullness.

In Corinthians, we read, “For as the Body is one and has many members, and the members of that one Body, being many, are one Body: so also is Christ. For by one Spirit are we all baptized into one Body, whether we be Jews or Gentiles, whether we be bond or free; and have been all made to drink into one Spirit,” 1Corinthains12:13.

Egypt was in the children of Israel after they crossed the Red Sea, so there is now some of the world (old nature) still tagging along to give us problems even though we have been forgiven our sins. It takes the washing of water by the Word and the cleansing by the fire for us to be led by Yahweh. The children of Israel had both the fire and cloud to lead them (Ex. 40:38). The cloud was upon the tabernacle by day, and the fire was on it by night, in the sight of all Israel through all their journeys. If any man had chosen to go on ahead of the cloud or had dropped behind, he would have found himself in a barren land without food or water, but no more so than we are in a spiritually dry and barren land when we refuse the leadership of the Spirit. “For many as are led by the Spirit of Yahweh, they are the sons of Yahweh,” Romans 8:14.
