Releasing the Energy to Overcome
All energy is governed by a specific principle and it must operate or function according to that established principle. This principle is often referred to as a law.
Modern man has learned many things about the world around him by discovering the principle of various energies, and when necessary, overpowering them and using them to his advantage. Through his ability to harness these forces, man has managed to survive and flourish in adverse conditions and environments. For example, since man learned to control fire by proper ventilation, it has become a great asset and comfort to the human family. Water is also used to the benefit of man in a much greater measure since man has learned to harness and control its power.
The inventions of useful machines have made it possible for man to achieve a higher quality of life, even for multitudes dwelling together in very small areas. But all useful inventions must operate according to their own particular law, or principle. If this principle is ignored, the machine will fail. This is also true in the spiritual order, or realm—the law of sin and death, or cause and effect, brings death in our natural bodies and will continue to do so until a stronger force overpowers it and interrupts its principle.
Paul said, “For the law (principle) of the Spirit of Life in Christ Yasha hath made me free from the law (principle) of sin and death. For what the law ( written commandments) could not do, in that it was weak through the flesh, Yahweh sending His own son in the likeness of sinful flesh, and by a sacrifice for sin, condemned sin in the flesh,” Romans 8:2-3. That is, by a sacrifice of sin, or by slaying the firstborn, or by crucifying the old adamic nature and by overpowering and disannulling the principle, by the use of a stronger force, the Savior rendered death powerless and came forth into resurrected life.
Without the power of the Life-force, the Ten Commandments could not break the law of sin and death because they could not stop the sin that produced the death. They revealed the principle, but did not produce the energy to overpower the force of sin. The commandments (the law) were good, but without the Life-force man’s spirit was left unchanged.
If we desire to be delivered from the power of sin, which produces death, we must allow the power of the Spirit of Life to operate in our bodies. “But if the Spirit of Him that raised up Yasha from the dead dwell in you, He that raised up Christ from the dead shall also quicken your ‘mortal body’ by (or because of) the Spirit that dwelleth in you,” Romans 8:11. “If a man love me he will keep my words, and my Father (Spirit of Life) will love him, and we will come unto him, and make our abode with him,” St. John 14:23.
Our loving God, who is the origin of love and purity, sets a principle into action in our life that will overpower the lower principle that is now at work in our bodies.
A principle can be called an action and its reaction. “The soul that sins, it shall die.” Sin is the action, death is the reaction (Ezekiel 18:14). Every creature has had this principle at work in them (1 Kings 8:46). But the good news is, “if we have borne the image of the earthly, we shall also bear the image of the heavenly,” 1 Corinthians 15:49.
Christ overcame sin and broke the power of death. Because He now has the power over death, all who die in Adam will be made alive in him (1 Cor. 15:22). The heathen is his inheritance. He will rule over his inheritance.
The sooner we act upon Yahweh’s principle, the sooner the reaction of the higher principle of Life will begin to operate for us and in us.
