The Destiny of Man
“And Elohiym (God) said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, over the foul of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creeps upon the earth. So Yahweh created man in his own image. In the image of Yahweh created he him, male and female created he them. And Yahweh blessed them, and said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it: and have dominion over the fish of the sea, over the foul of the air, and over every moving thing that moves upon the earth,” Geneses 1: 26-28.
If we want to write “man” in the Hebrew tongue, we would write the word adam. The name that is given to the first man is translated ‘man’ in many places. Sometimes man is capitalized and identifies the first man. In other places where man is translated, it is not capitalized and identifies mankind. It seems the translators decided how it should be translated, and when it should and should not be capitalized (there are no capital letters in the Hebrew language).
Yahweh commanded the man to do five things:
(1) Be fruitful,
(3) Replenish the earth,
(4) Subdue the earth,
(5) Have dominion over the creation of Yahweh.
This was Yahweh’s original plan and purpose for mankind. Adam ‘man’ was to become Yahweh’s king over the earth. This plan has never been changed, defeated, altered, or abandoned. It is still in the process of being fulfilled by him who conceived it. He purposed to make it according to his own plan and after the counsel of his own will. See Ephesians. 1:1-10; Psalm 8: 3-9; Hebrews 2: 6-10; Romans 8:19-23.
Yahweh called the first man he created adam. All the other people, including the females, were also called adam. Therefore, we can safely say that mankind, collectively, is to fulfill these five original commandments.
The Bible tells us that Yahweh is not a man (adam), and in him there is no shadow caused from turning. Yahweh certainly knew from the beginning that the first man would fail, nevertheless, he was not discouraged. He surely knew that in the process of time, a man (adam) would come as the Son of Mary to fulfill that fivefold commission. This is why it is written, “By man came death, by man came also the resurrection of the dead,” 1 Corinthians 15: 21.
Yahweh is Spirit. When man was created, he became a habitation for Yahweh’s expression that he might dwell in truth. He purposed to fill mankind with his being—the Spirit of Love, Wisdom, and Righteousness. Man was not only to hear the truth, he was to become the truth, to speak Yahweh’s words and to think Yahweh thoughts.
Man became a living soul. To be called a living soul he had to possess the Spirit of Life, which is Yahweh, but man rejected that Life. Man acted upon his own level of maturity. His heart was right—he wanted to be smart like his Creator—but just as soon as he stepped out in his own uneducated initiative the knowledge he received exposed his lack, judged him, and condemned him to death because he was not in the image of Yahweh his Father. In a way, Yahweh told him that if he learned knowledge he would be condemned to death by it, because he knew mankind lacked. Like Paul, when he said, I die daily—meaning he learned something every day that destroyed his old nature, yet the part of him that was in the image of Yahweh was growing and growing. This fulfilled the warning, “Thou shall surely die,” Not that Yahweh killed him for his disobedience, but when he rejected Yahweh (the Word or law of life) there was no other life to replace it.
It was never possible for man to exist without Yahweh’s Spirit flowing through him. Spirit motivates, energizes, and directs mankind. We receive instructions from spirit—the spirit of our lower nature or from our Father. If we do not come under the leadership of Yahweh, we can fall victim to an unknown spirit. We will then subconsciously receive instructions from the death-realm, or created realm. These spirits always appear as angels of light (messengers of truth). If we reject Truth (Yahweh), the only other source of spirit-energy comes through the adversary, the natural or carnal-realm. The adversary is the father of lies. See 2 Corinthians 11:13 through 15 and Ephesians 2:2.
The word translated “worketh” in Ephesians 2:2 came from the Greek, energeo, which means to energize or make active. “Wherein in times past ye walked according to the course of this age, according to the ruler of the power of the air, the spirit that now worketh (energeo, energizes) the children of disobedience.”
Under The Control of Spirit
Man is Yahweh’s offspring, Yahweh’s substance dwells in him. In the day man was created, Yahweh saw everything he had created and said it was very good. Evil forces are always ready to intrude upon man’s mind and body, taking him into captivity. These forces are manifested in many ways, such as selfishness, pride, strife, envy, fear, lust, greed, etc.
People who have never received Truth depend upon their base nature for survival and resort to wrath and strife as a defense mechanism. They use the beastly nature to defend, energize, and sustain themselves.
After one has become possessed with a demon, he is blinded to its presence. If a person recognizes he is reacting selfishly, or if he knows he is acting stingy, or lustfully, etc., he probably is not possessed, but is entertaining a spirit.
It takes faith in the principles of Yahweh for one to abandon his first nature and to seek the meek and gentle Spirit of Yahweh. Our base nature is an energy force that is contrary to Yahweh’s force, which we adhere to and use. Our base nature has served mankind since the day we came into the world, but we must resist that nature to become filled with Truth and Life. Yahweh must cleanse us, his temple. He will teach us to starve our beastly nature and develop the seed of Truth that is in each of us. All creation belongs to Yahweh. Every person is an individual temple, created as a dwelling place for Yahweh. He is Life, and as the Life-force he is completely involved with every member of the adamic creation.
Self Examination is Beneficial
Our beings are like houses that have many rooms. Our spiritual kitchen is the place where we satisfy our spiritual appetite. Our living room is the spiritual place of our communication and fellowship. Our spiritual bedroom represents our place of rest, and the family room, the place where we entertain and communicate. Before we go to sleep at night, we need to mentally go into these rooms of our spirit and examine the day’s activity in each of our rooms. Did we spend time in our kitchen preparing food and feeding our spirit?
We should let the Holy Spirit become our detective to look for intruders, bad spirits that may be lurking in the dark corners. These impostors are often masquerading as our friends.
Was there a spirit of doubt hidden or unnoticed as we sought to feed our spirit? Did we feast upon carnality? Was old man tradition hanging around, or old man fear? When we went into our family room did we find the age old spirit of reveling, or did we discover the familiar spirit of lust? Sometimes we may have found greed as we entertained thoughts of our financial ambition and goals. The spirits of the world often sneak into our parlor unseen. It makes no difference whether we recognize them or not, if they are there they will certainly stop our Spiritual development.
The Sons of Yahweh Are Spirit Led
We must always make room for the Spirit of Christ to be with us in every room of our heart. We must make room for love and truth, for mercy and for long suffering, even as we welcome gentleness, meekness, and faith. Joy and peace must not be crowded out by depression and frustration. It is a sin to allow depression to take over and dominate our mind. Pride is a spirit that often hides in our temple. It will rob us of many things. The lust of the eye, the lust of the flesh and the pride of life dominates the lives of many Christians. The spirit of pride can be very religious and appear very spiritual. Notice the life of Yasha, our example, then look at Paul’s reaction to that example. We’ll not be deceived if we adopt the Spirit that controlled them. Many Christians make room for spiritual pride. If we suspect that one of these spirits might be present we should immediately confess to Yasha and ask him to remove it from us, his temple.
Yasha is always aware of the intruders in his temple, but because we are his Bride he will not send them from our house if we are willing to make room for them.
We can, unintentionally, make room for these spirits if we continue to subconsciously depend upon them. We are energized by spirit-source. If the Holy Spirit is not allowed to energize us toward his Kingdom, we are then energized by greed, lust, strife, or any one of a dozen others works of the flesh that are just as deadly. We might even choose not to become energized at all, and allow ourselves to be completely overcome by a spirit of lethargy so that we sit and waste our God-given and allotted time. We are subjected to the spirit of this world by birth—our natural instinct is bent toward it. It was our first energizing force. It is possible for us to not recognize the need for Life.
Spiritually lazy people often seek counterfeit entertainment. It is cheap and easy to come by, but it is not beneficial toward our spirit-development. Worldly entertainment does not develop our Father’s nature that is deep within us nor does it develop within us a sense of fulfillment.
The person that gives too much of his precious time to entertaining his lower nature does not develop in righteousness. He will never achieve the satisfaction and benefits enjoyed by those who refuse to be cheated. A Christian, who has a lazy spirit, never tastes the sweet fruit of self-fulfillment. Seeking revelation without exercising its demands is detrimental to one’s spiritual growth; it destroys the energy generated through revelation.
The Impostors Must Go
We need not depend upon evil and carnal forces to help us fulfill our potential in life. We do not need wrath, strife, or anger to protect us—the shield of faith is sufficient. We do not need jealousy to bind our loved ones to us, genuine love will bind at the same time it releases.
We do not need deceit to cover for us, because Christ is the cherub that covers. We do not need any of these impostors in order to be happy, loved, or respected. We do not need them to obtain wealth. We are heirs of Yahweh and joint heirs with Christ. We do not need to accumulate material things to reap a rich, full, and meaningful life. We cannot use carnal warfare, and have life immortal.
Yasha will expel evil spirits from his temple if we but ask. Remember your body is the temple of Yahweh, not of satan. We must give Christ permission to drive the evil impostors out; as long as we allow them to possess and amuse us, they will. Yahweh’s Spirit is gentle and will not drive our guest out against our will.
Many people claiming to be led by the Holy Spirit make no room for Christ. Their temples are full of many evil spirits so that orgies and every form of evil can be committed inside their temple.
As long as we abide in a temple of clay, demons will try to find a place in our temple. For thousands of years these spirits have controlled the human family, laying claim to Yahweh’s holy temple, which he created for his own habitation. They continue to trick man and convince him that they are a necessary backup for his lower nature. Man is to become one with Yahweh and not one with the devil.
Demons persuade mankind to take the blame and responsibility for their wicked acts, to bear their shame and guilt. Thus man strives to defend, protect, shield, or hide them and justify their deeds. Because humans identify with these demons, they feel too guilty and ashamed to confess the presence of jealousy, envy, pride, anger, lust, etc.
If We Resist, the Devil Will Flee
Resist the devil, and he will flee from you, and with him goes the evil desires and uncontrolled urges to commit crime. With him will go lust and greed. “And you shall know the truth and the truth shall make you free (from these devastating death forces),” John 8:32.
We belong to Yahweh; therefore, we should not generate forces of evil nor should we allow other people’s evil forces to trick us into claiming their little imps. If the devil can trick us into claiming a few of his imps, we will protect them while they wreck our lives and turn us against one another.
“What then, shall we say? Is the law sin? Let it not be! But I did not know sin except through law; for also I did not know lust except the law said, You shall not lust. But sin taking occasion through the commandment worked every lust in me: for apart from law, sin is dead. And I was alive apart from law once, but the commandment came, and sin came alive, and I died. And the commandment which was to life, this was found to be death to me: for sin taking occasion through the commandment deceived me, and through it killed me. So indeed the law is holy and the commandment holy, just and good. Then that being good has become death to me? Let it not be! But sin came alive that it might appear to be sin.” Romans 7:7-14.
