Revelation Chapter Thirteen

13:1a And I stood upon the sand of the sea, and saw a beast rise up out of the sea, having seven heads and ten horns, and upon his horns ten crowns, and upon his heads the name (of) blasphemy.

This sea is symbolic of the voices of many people, and the voices are coming from the beastly nature of mankind.

Ps. 93:3-5, The floods have lifted up, O Yahweh, the floods have lifted up their voice; the floods lift up their waves. Yahweh on high is mightier than the noise of many waters, yea, than the mighty waves of the sea. Your testimonies are very sure: holiness becomes your house, O Yahweh, forever.
Isa 17:12-13, Woe to the multitude of many people, which make a noise like the noise of the seas; and to the rushing of nations, that make a rushing like the rushing of mighty waters! The nations shall rush like the rushing of many waters: but God shall rebuke them, and they shall flee far off, and shall be chased as the chaff of the mountains before the wind, and like a rolling thing before the whirlwind. (See also Jer. 51:55.)

The word “blasphemy” means “vilification”, which is to make malicious and abusive statements about somebody, in this case, against the Kingdom of Righteousness and Truth. The beast was blasphemy. It did not bite, sting, or kill. Its power was in malicious and abusive words.

The beast did not symbolize the blasphemy of common people; it symbolized the blasphemy of people who were powerful and influential. These people used their position to influence others against the Kingdom of Righteousness and Truth. These influential people were making vicious and defamatory statements against truth and righteousness, and their listeners believed their blasphemy and shared them with others causing blasphemy to be spread quickly.

The head of the beast represented the center of man’s faculties, his intellect, emotion, and reasoning. The seven heads represented the beast’s complete authority.

The horns of an animal are used for his protection, so the beast’s ten horns represented the magnitude of his blasphemy. They symbolized the power, dominion, and the fierceness of the spoken word that came from the carnal realm.

The crowns that sit upon the horns were diadems and not a victor’s laurel. Notice the crowns were not set upon the “heads” of the beast, but were upon its horns. These crowns signified the beast’s (carnal, false leaders) control over the weaker members in the churches by persuading them to accept his blasphemy against the Kingdom of Righteousness.

In the Old Testament, the number seven meant complete, enough, or full; it illustrated the totality or completeness of the subject. In this scripture, the number seven represents the totality of the beast, his ability, strength, and authority to blaspheme the Kingdom of Righteousness.

The number 10 symbolized human frailty and failure when in management. Anytime the number ten is used in the Old Testament it is always connected with correction as the Ten Commandments and the ten plagues. The ten horns and ten crowns symbolized the carnal leaders in the churches in Asia who were speaking evil and dominating their listeners through persuasive and untrue words.

13:1b And the beast which I saw was like unto a leopard, and his feet were as the feet of a bear, and his mouth as the mouth of a lion: and the serpent (dragon) gave him his power, and his seat, and great authority.

The major part of this beast was like a leopard. Leopards are known for their swiftness. According to WikiAnswers, “A Leopard can run up to 45-50 mp/h, it is the third fastest animal in the world.” Animals faster than a leopard are in the bird family. The leopard represents the swift spread of blasphemy against the Spirit of Righteousness. As malicious and abusive statements were accepted as truth, the receivers of the lies were quick to repeat them; therefore, the blasphemy spread quickly causing many false doctrines in the earth.

In John’s vision, blasphemy came out of the mouths of lions; therefore, the evil speaking came from the false Jewish leaders. In Revelation 2:9, the angel said to the church of Smyrna, “I know the blasphemy of them which say they are Jews, and are not, but are the synagogue of satan.” The SAVIOR once again was not dealing with their natural bloodline; he was speaking of their attitude and the intentions of their heart.

John 8:37, 44-45, “I know that you are Abraham’s seed; but you seek to kill me, because my word has no place in you…. You are of your father the devil, and the lusts of your father you will do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and abode not in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaks a lie, he speaks of his own: for he is a liar, and the father of it. And because I tell you the truth, you believe me not.”

The leopard beast was described as having bear’s feet. Feet are symbolic to the foundation upon which one stands and walks; therefore, the bear’s feet symbolized the custom of that day.

Copied from “Natural History of Black Bears:”
Bears use the same trails over and over for generations. They tend to place their feet in exactly the same place every time they use the trail. You can find these trails where each footfall is in a depression worn into the ground by the passage of so many bears over the years.

Copied from “Bears Nova Scotia:”
Bears tend to walk in their own tracks, so an area that is frequented by bears can have a trail of sunken footprints beaten into the forest floor from repeated and long-term use. They will also mark prominent bear sites such as a bite tree with sunken prints around the site. Researchers who have followed bears to record their daily activity have found that the bears will do a stiff-legged walk at these strategic locations, in order to enhance the marks left in the ground.

Under the Levitical order, people observed repetitive ceremonial procedures which were passed down from one generation to the next. These ceremonial ordinances did not deliver them from their beastly natures, nor did they cause them to be spiritually minded. John’s vision of the leopard beast was revealing that the churches had become like the bears; many were continuing in the familiar Levitical order that forgave sins instead of entering into the Melchisedec order that delivered from sin.

Heb. 10:1, 4, The law (ceremonial law) having a shadow of good things to come, and not the very image of the things, can never with those sacrifices which they offered year by year continually make the comers thereunto perfect. For it is not possible that the blood of bulls and of goats should take away sins.

The power of this beast came from the serpent. The serpent symbolized those in opposition to the Melchisedec order. The Levitical order was governed by the Israelites, and those that refused to accept the change of priesthood rose up against the Melchisedec order—they were adversaries to the Kingdom of Yahweh.

There were sincere Israelites that remained loyal to the Levitical order. Their hearts and minds were faithful to the Israelite nation. Their faithfulness was not because of maliciousness and vindictiveness, but was because they could not accept the change of priesthood. But when the priesthood changed, false Jews rose up and took advantage of the situation persuading people to follow after them. In Peter’s second letter, he gave an excellent description of blasphemy as he described man’s beastly nature.

2 Pet. 1:2 1-2:3, Prophecy came not in old time by the will of man: but holy men of Yahweh spoke as they were moved by the Holy Spirit. But there were false prophets also among the people, even as there shall be false teachers among you, who underhandedly (privily) shall bring in damnable heresies, even denying the Lord that bought them, and bring upon themselves swift destruction. And many shall follow their filthy (pernicious) ways; by reason of whom the way of truth shall be evil spoken of. And through covetousness shall they with fictitious (feigned) words make merchandise of you: whose judgment now of a long time lingers not, and their damnation slumbers not.

Consider these statements that Peter made.

“False teachers were underhandedly speaking damnable heresies.” People of influence (teachers) where deliberately lying to their students.
“Denying the Lord.” Coming against Yahweh with their mouths.
“With fictitious words make merchandise of you.” Many believed their lies.

The serpent gave the leopard beast his seat—his headquarters, which was a part of the Levitical order. With the change, came opposition. There were those who did not understand the need for the change and then there were those who took advantage of the situation and used that change for self gain either in power over the ignorant or for monetary purposes. When the Levitical order ended, they rose up in opposition against the Melchisedec order speaking malicious and abusive statements against the Christians that stood for Yahweh’s Kingdom of Righteousness.

In Revelation 2:13, the angel told John to tell the messenger of Pergamos that the seat of satan dwelled in those that were killers and persecutors of those who were faithful to the Word. The SAVIOR stated, “I know where you dwell and where the throne of satan is. You used my name and did not deny my truth even in the days of Antipas, the witness of my faithful who were killed among you, where the accuser dwells.” Paraphrased, this would read, Herod Antipas had stood as a witness against the SAVIOR and his followers making sure they were killed under his authority.

The serpent gave the leopard beast his great authority. The word “authority” means “in the sense of ability: the mastery. The false Jews were well educated in the Levitical order. They were knowledgeable and well spoken.

The leopard beast coming from the sea symbolizes the voices of many false Jewish leaders that influenced people against the truth with their elegant speeches. Some of these false Jews were in the congregations of the seven churches teaching the doctrines of Balaam, Nicolaitans, and Jezebel.

John’s vision was referring to the same time period that Paul and Barnabas encountered one of these false Jewish leaders trying to persuade people from the faith.

Acts 13:42-45, When the Jews were gone out of the synagogue, the Gentiles besought that these words (Paul and Barnabas’s teaching) might be preached to them the next Sabbath. Now when the congregation was broken up, many of the Jews and religious proselytes followed Paul and Barnabas: who, speaking to them, persuaded them to continue in the grace of Yahweh. And the next Sabbath day came almost the whole city together to hear the word of Yahweh. But when the Jews saw the multitudes, they were filled with envy, and spoke against those things which were spoken by Paul, contradicting and blaspheming.

Jude the brother of James explained how false leaders came among the people bringing very persuasive words against righteousness.

Jude 3-4, 10-13, Beloved, when I gave all diligence to write unto you of the common salvation, it was needful for me to write unto you, and exhort you that you should earnestly contend for the faith which was once delivered unto the saints. For there are certain men crept in unawares, who were before of old ordained to this condemnation, ungodly men, turning the grace of our God into lasciviousness, and denying the only Lord Yahweh, and our Lord Yasha Christ……But these speak evil of those things which they know not: but what they know naturally, as brute beasts, in those things they corrupt themselves. Woe unto them! for they have gone in the way of Cain, and ran greedily after the error of Balaam for reward, and perished in the gainsaying of Core. These are spots in your godly love (feasts of charity), when they feast with you, feeding themselves without fear: clouds they are without water, carried about of winds; trees (leaders) whose fruit withered, without fruit, twice dead, plucked up by the roots; raging waves of the sea, foaming out their own shame; wandering stars, to whom is reserved the blackness of darkness forever. (This phrase should have read, “to whom the blackness of darkness for ages is watched” the word “reserved” means “watched.” See the Greek Interlinear for the sentence structure; it was changed in the KJV.)

13:3 And I saw one of his (the beast’s) heads as it were wounded to death; and his deadly wound was healed: and all the world wondered after the beast.

The number one symbolized unity, agreement. The beast’s single head being wounded symbolized the impact that the Word of Truth had upon the churches. To wound one head was to wound the whole beast, their whole carnal way of thinking. The beast was wounded by a sword according to Revelation 13:14. The sword symbolized the Word of Truth, which was contrary to the blasphemy that was being spoken by the false leaders.

Eph. 6:17, Take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of Yahweh.
Heb. 4:12, The word of Yahweh is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.

In the beginning of John’s vision (Rev. 1:16), the Sword of Truth was seen coming from the mouth of the SAVIOR. In a vision, whatever is seen coming from the mouth of an image is the substance of the image because out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaks (Matt. 12:34-35). Truth is the SAVIOR’s essence while blasphemy is the leopard beast’s essence. The essence of the SAVIOR came against the essence of the leopard beast; they were in opposition with each other—here we see the Kingdom of Righteousness opposing the kingdom of unrighteousness.

In order for the Sword of Truth to wound the leopard beast, the blasphemy spoken by the false Jews had to be exposed to gain power over their followers. The Word of Truth had been from the foundation of the earth, but its inhabitance did not have spiritual ears to hear until the Man Child was caught up into the heavens and took the throne. The Man Child represents the Anointed Word of Truth being manifested in Yahweh’s many membered body of believers.

It is difficult for us to understand the full impact that the blasphemous words had on the infant Church because it has been almost two thousand years since John received his vision. But history does give us a glimpse of their struggles and persecutions through the reading of Acts, Paul’s letters, and through great historians such as Josephus. The wounding of the leopard beast took place when the Spirit of Truth was received in the hearts and minds of mankind on the day of Pentecost. When Truth was accepted and spread across the land, the blasphemy of false Jews was rejected by many.

Even though the Church flourished and many were added to the Church daily, many of the people were influenced by the pagan practices around them. The healing of the beast’s wound took many years as Christians were drawn away from Truth because they were not rooted and grounded in the Word of Truth. Some were drawn away by the cares of the world and the deceitfulness of riches; they did not have the heart to pull away from the customs of their unbelieving friends and family and to be separate from them.

The leopard beast was wounded when the gospel of the Kingdom was first preached. Many accepted it, but, as the SAVIOR pointed out in Matthew 24:14, as time passed the hearts of many waxed cold because iniquity flourished. The healing of the head was when the false leaders began to regain their influence. All this took place before the destruction of Jerusalem in A.D. 70.

13:4 And they worshipped the serpent (dragon) which gave power unto the beast: and they worshipped the beast, saying, Who is like unto the beast? who is able to make war with him?

Keep in mind that the serpent, the adversary, here is the same creature that came against the woman and was also the same one that fought against Michael and his messengers in heaven. Those who refused the Melchisedec order became adversaries to Yahweh’s Kingdom of Righteousness the moment the Levitical order was satisfied by its reality.

To worship is to have excessive love, admiration, and respect for someone or something. It is to place someone or something in an exalted position of importance. Many in the churches worshipped the serpent by remaining loyal to the Levitical Priesthood. They worshipped the leopard beast by accepting the blasphemous statements made by the unbelieving Jewish leaders. The lies that these Jews spread came from the realm of carnality, just as the Levitical order was maintained by the hands of man.

Notice that while the worship was to both the beast and the serpent, the two questions asked concerned only the leopard beast. Blasphemy was given honor and prestige and was exalted above the Word of Truth and was accepted as truth.

The question, “Who is like unto the beast?” reveals that the receivers of the malicious and vindictive statements believed that the blasphemy was from a reliable source and that there were none more knowledgeable than the unbelieving and false leaders.

The question “Who is able to make war with him?” was like saying, “Who can argue with the order in which we are accustomed?” indicating that no one was powerful enough to do away with it. The angel was not dealing with a tangle creature, but with aggressive, rebellious Jews who were against the SAVIOR and the cross.

13:5 And there was given unto the leopard beast a mouth speaking great things and blasphemies; and power was given unto him to continue forty and two months.
6 And he opened his mouth in blasphemy against Yahweh, to blaspheme his name, and his tabernacle, and them that dwell in heaven.

Remember the forty-two months symbolized a transitional time, a deliverance; the process or period of time that it took for the believers to change from believing that their sins were covered by animal sacrifice to believing that the indwelling SAVIOR would cleanse them from sin. It was the bringing to a close of the shadow to reveal the reality.

Through blasphemy, the leopard beast encouraged humanism. Peter explained it best.

2 Peter 2:18-19, For when they (false prophets) speak great swelling words of vanity, they allure through the lusts of the flesh, through much wantonness, those that were clean escaped from them who live in error. While they promise them liberty, they themselves are the servants of corruption: for of whom a man is overcome, of the same is he brought in bondage. (Notice that what the false prophets spoke, brought them and their listeners into the same bondage.)

The forty-two months signified that there was a limitation to the time given for the change; something was going to transpire that would bring about this change. The change was going to reveal the blasphemy against the Son of Yahweh and his power to deliver from sin. The angel said unto the messenger of Philadelphia concerning these false Jews, “Behold, I will make them of the synagogue of satan, which say they are Jews, and are not, but do lie; behold, I will make them to come and worship before your feet, and to know that I have loved you (Rev. 3:9).” A transition was going to take place—the Holy Spirit would expose the blasphemy through the saints of the Most High.

The Philadelphian church had kept Yahweh’s Word and did not deny his name. Because the Word of Truth was in their hearts and minds, they were not deceived by the blasphemy of the false Jews. It was stated, “Because you have kept the word of my patience, I also will keep you from the hour of temptation, which shall come upon all the world, to try them that dwell upon the earth (Rev. 3:10).”

Notice that the leopard beast was speaking great things and blaspheming Yahweh’s name, his tabernacle, and those who dwelt in heaven. Their humanist influence persuaded the people to worship their own carnal concepts Their sinful nature is symbolized by the beast in which they worshiped.

13:7 And it was given unto the leopard beast to make war with the saints, and to subdue (overcome) them: and power was given him (the leopard beast) over all kindreds, and tongues, and nations.
8 And all that dwell upon the earth shall worship him (the leopard beast), whose names are not written in the Scroll (Book) of Life of the Lamb slain from the foundation of the world.

In verse seven, I replaced the word “overcome” with “subdue” which is a more accurate translation. To overcome is to control, while “subdue” means to suppress or hold back. The leopard beast warred with the saints but he did not overpower them, he held them back by suppressing them. The Jews’ lies suppressed the believers, which history proves to be true. Their lies spread throughout the world.

In order to understand how the leopard beast had power over all the kindreds, tongues, and nations we must first understand “the Scroll of Life of the Lamb.”
The “Book” of Life was actually a “Scroll” of Life, which is also the same word used in Revelation 5:1 and 6-8 which was given to the Lamb that stood before the throne as one slain. The Lamb had seven horns and seven eyes, which were the seven Spirits of Yahweh that were sent forth into all the earth.

Notice that the seven Spirits of Yahweh were sent out into “all” the earth, which means the seven Spirits were made available to whosoever will. The seven Spirits of Yahweh revealed his essence—power, riches, wisdom, strength, honor, glory, and blessing.

In this verse, the word “Life” is not speaking about physical life but of spiritual “Life,” that is, being spiritually minded which is only obtained by receiving the Holy Spirit.

Rom 8:6, To be carnally minded is death; but to be spiritually minded is Life and peace.
The SAVIOR came to give Life, which implies that before he came creation did not have Life (spiritual minds) but lived in death (carnal minds).
John 10:10, …I am come that they might have Life, and that they might have it more abundantly.
John 14:6, The SAVIOR said unto him, I am the Way, the Truth, and the Life: no man comes unto the Father, but by me.
John 3:14-17, As Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, even so must the Son of man be lifted up: that whosoever believes in the SAVIOR (should not perish, but) has eternal Life. For Yahweh so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believes in him should not perish, but have everlasting Life. For Yahweh sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved. (Notice that Yahweh did not send his Son to die, but he sent him to save us by giving us Life—spiritual minds in order to understand his Word of Truth. This scripture does not say that Yahweh sent his Son to die, but sent him as a living manifestation of himself. He sent him to save us by giving us the Word of Life. He came to awaken our spiritual minds that we might know the Father.)

Peter 1:3-4, According as his divine power has given unto us all things that pertain unto Life and godliness, through the knowledge of him that has called us to glory and virtue: whereby are given unto us exceeding great and precious promises: that by these you might be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust.
1 John 5:10-13, He that believes on the Son of Yahweh has the witness in himself: he that believes not Yahweh has made him a liar; because he believes not the witness (record) that Yahweh gave of his Son. And this is the witness (record), that Yahweh has given to us eternal Life, and this Life is in his Son. He that has the Son has Life; and he that has not the Son of Yahweh has not Life. These things have I written unto you that believe on the name of the Son of Yahweh; that you may know that you have eternal Life, and that you may believe on the name of the Son of Yahweh.

Remember that not only is the SAVIOR the Way, the Truth, and the Life, he is also the Word of Life—the Scroll of Life. It is his Life-force that brings Life into our minds through his Anointed Word.

John 6:63, It is the spirit that makes alive (quickeneth); the flesh profits nothing: the words that I (the SAVIOR) speak unto you, they are Spirit, and they are Life.

Quoted from “The Living Manna” written by Mildred Garner.
When Yahweh’s Word is alive in us, it becomes our meat; it is water for cleansing, and drink to refresh our thirsty souls. It is the Bread of Life and a staff upon which we may lean. The Word must become more than words upon the pages of a book; it must be resurrected in us. It must be quickened to become the energizing force of our life. Without this force, the Bible becomes just another book; for it is not holy because of the paper, the binding or the print, it is holy only as it is quickened and becomes our personal Life-force.
The printed book is of no value to us without the Spirit of Truth. If it was so, we could receive eternal Life merely by purchasing a Bible. Millions of people buy Bibles, read, and quote from them, yet know nothing of its Life-force. We cannot benefit from the printed Word if we read it only as a historical or literary work. The Word must become the thoughts we think and the emotions we feel. It must be the controlling force of the subconscious mind. The Word must become alive in us by the power of the Holy Spirit.
The Bible is the Book of Life only if its teachings are spiritually made alive to us. As a book lying on the shelf, it does not offer protection for us. If we should memorize its pages from cover to cover, it will not quench our thirst nor satisfy our hunger. Also, it will not prevent loneliness and emptiness. Only as we allow its message to penetrate our conscious mind and control our subconscious, does it become a force of Life for us. Just reading scriptures everyday does not offer security, but surrendering our will to the Living Word does. We must fulfill the requirements of the Word.
The Bible contains the Word of Life when its teachings are understood by our spirit. When the Word is spiritually discerned, it becomes the Life sustaining Bread, the Living Water, and the New Wine. Only as the Word takes root in our hearts can it manifest itself as Life.

The Lamb was the only one worthy to open the Scroll of Life. The opening of the seven seals revealed Yahweh in the earth—in earthen vessels. Only those that had their “names” written in the Scroll of Life worshipped Yahweh. If the Scroll of Life was a literal scroll with the given “names” of every believer of Yahweh literally written in it, it would be a mighty fat scroll because there have been billions and billions of believers since the time salvation became available. Even as the Scroll of Life is not a literal scroll, the names of the believers were not literally written down in it. Remember all the overcomers were to receive a new name.

Rev 2:17, To him that overcomes will I give to eat of the hidden manna, and will give him a white stone, and in the stone a new name written, which no man knows saving he that receives it.
Rev 3:12, Him that overcomes will I make a pillar in the temple of my God, and he shall go no more out: and I will write upon him the name of my God, and the name of the city of my God, which is New Jerusalem, which comes down out of heaven from my God: and I will write upon him my new name.

In Revelation 2:17, it says that the one that receives the new name would be the only one to know it. Then in Revelation 3:12 there were two names given to the overcomers. They were called by Yahweh’s new name and were also called the name of his city, which is New Jerusalem. This is quite confusing if you don’t understand what Yahweh is dealing with here. The word “name” means authority and character. When the believers were converted, they were birthed into a new family with a new name. They became members of New Jerusalem; therefore, they were under Yahweh’s authority. The Holy Spirit was given to bring them into the image of their FATHER as they walked in the power of the Holy Spirit. All who did not walk in the authority and character of the Holy Spirit walked in the authority of their beastly nature.

These overcomers were going to be pillars in New Jerusalem and would sit with the SAVIOR on the throne with their FATHER. All this could not happen literally because there is only one throne. But it was to happen in the Kingdom of Yahweh in the temples of flesh and blood as they yielded their minds and hearts to the Holy Spirit of Truth and righteousness. The believers became temples of Yahweh (1 Cor. 3:16), and he manifested himself through them.

When the believers had a born from above experience, they became sons of Yahweh and joint heirs with the Son (the Word of Yahweh). Sons of Yahweh have his name and his character; therefore, they do not walk after their natural parents’ nature, but after their heavenly FATHER’s nature—his character and authority are in their minds and hearts.

The leopard beast warred only with the saints, because the rest of the world worshiped him. Even though they were suppressed by stripes, imprisonments, persecutions, and evil reports (lies) about them, some of the saints stood rooted and grounded in the Word of Truth. (See Acts 20:16-23 & 2 Cor. 5:1-10.) By the word of truth and through their actions, the saints warred against the lies of the false Jews.

Paul was experiencing the suppression of the false Jews when he made this statement: “Serving the Lord with all humility of mind, and with many tears, and temptations, which befell me by the lying in wait of the Jews” (Acts 20:19). The Jews were being an adversary to Paul.

Those who did not accept the Holy Spirit of Truth were in bondage to their carnal minds; therefore, they were bound in death (carnality). Their character was not Yahweh’s and nor were they under his authority. They were in the character and authority of the leopard beast and the serpent; therefore, they, too, were adversaries to the Kingdom of Righteousness and Truth.

13:9 If any man have an ear, let him hear.
10 He that leads into captivity shall go into captivity: he that kills with the sword must be killed with the sword. Here is the patience and the faith of the saints.

This statement is a promise of victory over deception and the bondage to the carnal nature. The blasphemy of the false Jews possessed the minds of the people causing their minds to be bound by lies. The root of their deception goes back to the serpent that gave power to the leopard beast. The serpent, the adversary brought the minds of the people into captivity. The Levitical order placed a man priest between man and Yahweh. Even though the Levitical Priesthood was over, many pastors stood between their congregation and Yahweh. Many in the churches used the pastor as their head and refused to seek any farther than the denomination in which they were joined to. These pastors became adversaries to their congregation’s spiritual development; they were bound in the same bondage as their congregation.

To be killed by the sword was to the advantage of the believers. The Sword represented the Word of Truth. It is seen coming forth from the SAVIOR’s mouth at the beginning of John’s vision. Victory over the lies of the false Jews came through the Sword of the SAVIOR’s mouth (Rev. 2:16). Those who were killed by the Word of Truth were those who allowed the Sword of Truth to crucify their old man of sin. This was that which developed patience and faith in the saints.

Rom 6:1-7, What shall we say then? Shall we continue in sin, that grace may abound? Yahweh forbid. How shall we, that are dead to sin, live any longer therein? Know ye not, that so many of us as were baptized into Yasha Christ were baptized into his death? Therefore we are buried with him by baptism into death: that like as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life. For if we have been planted together in the likeness of his death, we shall be also in the likeness of his resurrection: knowing this, that our old man is crucified with him, that the body of sin might be destroyed, that henceforth we should not serve sin. For he that is dead is freed from sin.
Col 3:9-11, Lie not one to another, seeing that you have put off the old man with his actions (deeds); And have put on the new man, which is renewed in knowledge after the image of him that created him: where there is neither Greek nor Jew, circumcision nor uncircumcision, Barbarian, Scythian, bond nor free: but Anointed (Christ) is all, and in all.

13:11 And I beheld another beast coming up out of the earth; and he had two horns like a lamb, and he spoke as a serpent (dragon).
12 And he exercises all the power of the first beast before him, and causes the earth and them which dwell therein to worship the first beast, whose deadly wound was healed.

The lamb beast was not the Lamb of Yahweh, he was a disguise. He looked like the Lamb of Yahweh on the outside, but on the inside he spoke like the serpent. The scriptures do not have a specific quote that came from the mouth of the serpent. But we do see that he stood before the woman to devour the Man-Child, he drew a third part of the stars to the earth, he and his messengers fought against Michael and his messengers, and he persecuted the woman’s seed when he realized he could not destroy the woman that fled into the wilderness to be fed by Yahweh. So what was the language of the serpent and the lamb beast? Was it not their actions of adversity? Was it not the opposition against truth in all its forms? On the outside, the lamb beast appeared to be teaching the Kingdom principles, but because he spoke like the serpent, we know he had the mind of a beast. Remember “from the abundance of the heart the mouth speaks” (Matt. 12:34).

The leopard beast’s power had came through the serpent (Rev. 13:4); therefore, the power that the lamb beast had also came through the serpent. The leopard symbolized false Jews as they blasphemed Yahweh, his temple, and those in heaven. The lamb beast symbolized false prophets and false Christs, which were the anti-Christ. It was stated that the lamb beast exercised all the power of the leopard beast; therefore, they both represent blasphemy. One symbolized the false Jews and the other the false prophets from any nationality. The lamb beast came up out of the earth, which was the earthly realm of carnality.

Matt 7:15-16, Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves. You shall know them by their fruits. Do men gather grapes of thorns, or figs of thistles?

Due to the fact that the word beast is used to mean the lamb beast or the leopard beast, I have placed the words lamb and leopard before the word beast in order to identify the beast. I also replaced some pronouns with nouns to clarify the subject.

13:13 And the lamb beast does great wonders, so that he makes fire come down from heaven on the earth before in the sight of men,
14 And deceives them that dwell on the earth by the means of those wonders (miracles) which he had power to do in the sight of the leopard beast; saying to them that dwell on the earth, that they should make an image to the leopard beast, which had the wound by a sword, and did live.

The word “makes” in verse 13 is the same word used in verse 12 where the serpent “caused” the inhabitants of the earth to worship the first beast. The false prophets did great wonders which caused judgment upon the churches. Yahweh dwells in the heavenly realm; the lamb beast did not receive support from Yahweh for his deception. The lamb beast caused judgment (fire) to come upon those that he deceived.

Even though the lamb beast looked like a lamb, he spoke like the serpent. The SAVIOR was also symbolized by a lamb, but he spoke like the Father. This lamb beast is an imposter; he is masquerading as the Lamb of Yahweh. The SAVIOR warned the disciples that there would be false Christs.

Matt 24:24, There shall arise false Christs, and false prophets, and shall show great signs and wonders; insomuch that, if it were possible, they shall deceive the very elect.
Matt 24:4-5 The SAVIOR answered and said unto his disciples, Take heed that no man deceive you. For many shall come in my name, saying, I am Christ; and shall deceive many.
Paul spoke to those in Corinth about imposters in their church masquerading as messengers of Christ, the Messiah.
2 Cor. 11:2-4, 13-14, I promised you to one husband, to Christ, so that I might present you as a pure virgin to him. But I am afraid that just as Eve was deceived by the serpent’s cunning, your minds may somehow be led astray from your sincere and pure devotion to Christ. For if someone comes to you and preaches a Jesus (Yasha) other than the Jesus (Yasha) we preached, or if you receive a different spirit from the one you received, or a different gospel from the one you accepted, you put up with it easily enough.….. For such men are false apostles, deceitful workmen, masquerading as apostles of Christ. And no wonder, for Satan himself masquerades as an angel of light. It is not surprising, then, if his servants masquerade as servants of righteousness. (NIV)

The lamb beast symbolized the spirit of antichrist—leaders that claimed to be anointed but in reality were false prophets. They had an outward show of godliness but inwardly they were corrupt.

1 John 2:18-22, Little children, it is the end hour (last time): and as you have heard that antichrist shall come, even now are there many antichrists; whereby we know that it is the end hour (last time). They went out from us, but they were not of us; for if they had been of us, they would no doubt have continued with us: but they went out, that they might be made manifest that they were not all of us. But you have an unction from the Holy One, and you know all things. I have not written unto you because you know not the truth, but because you know it, and that no lie is of the truth. Who is a liar but he that denied that the SAVIOR is the Christ? He is antichrist, that denies the Father and the Son.
2 John 6-9, And this is love, that we walk after his commandments. This is the commandment, that, as you have heard from the beginning, you should walk in it. For many deceivers are entered into the world, who confess not that the SAVIOR Christ is come in the flesh. This is a deceiver and an antichrist. Look to yourselves, that we lose not those things which we have wrought, but that we receive a full reward. Whosoever transgresses, and abides not in the doctrine of Christ, has not Yahweh. He that abides in the doctrine of Christ, he has both the Father and the Son.
2 Tim 3:1-9, This know also, that in the final (last) days perilous times are shall come. For men will (shall) be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, without natural affection, trucebreakers, false accusers, incontinent, fierce, despisers of those that are good, traitors, heady, highminded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of Yahweh; having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away. (How could they turn away from someone that is years to come?) For of this sort are they which creep into houses, and lead captive silly women laden with sins, led away with divers lusts, ever learning, and never able to come to the knowledge of the truth. Now as Jannes and Jambres withstood Moses, so do these also resist the truth: men of corrupt minds, reprobate concerning the faith. But they shall proceed no further: for their folly shall be manifest unto all men, as theirs also was.

13:15 And the lamb beast had power to give life unto the images of the leopard beast, that the images of the leopard beast should both speak, and cause that as many as would not worship the image of the leopard beast should be killed.

In this verse, I put the word “image” in the plural form. By making it singular the reader can easily be confused with what was truly said here. Keep in mind that the leopard beast was already speaking and blaspheming Yahweh, his temples, and those in heaven before the lamb beast came on the scene. Remember the lamb beast had the same power to blaspheme as the leopard beast. In verse four it was said that the serpent gave power to the leopard beast and then in verse five it stated that it was given unto him a mouth speaking great things and blasphemies; therefore, the leopard beast did not need the power from the lamb beast to open his mouth. This verse (15) should have read, “And the lamb beast had power to give life unto the images of the leopard beast, that the images of the leopard beast should both speak, and cause many that would not worship the images of the leopard beast to be killed.” Here we see those who made images of the leopard beast were acting like the leopard beast.

The false prophets and false Christs were leading the people astray, teaching them false doctrines. There were some false leaders with many followers that admitted that Yasha was the Savior, but they taught that the Jews and Gentiles should still keep the Levitical order.

Acts 15:1-11, Certain men which came down from Judaea taught the brethren, and said, Except you be circumcised after the manner of Moses, you cannot be saved. When therefore Paul and Barnabas had no small dissension and disputation with them, they determined that Paul and Barnabas, and certain other of them, should go up to Jerusalem unto the apostles and elders about this question. And being brought on their way by the church, they passed through Phenice and Samaria, declaring the conversion of the Gentiles: and they caused great joy unto all the brethren. And when they were come to Jerusalem, they were received of the church, and of the apostles and elders, and they declared all things that Yahweh had done with them. But there rose up certain of the sect of the Pharisees which believed, saying, That it was needful to circumcise them, and to command them to keep the law (ceremonial) of Moses. And the apostles and elders came together for to consider of this matter. And when there had been much disputing, Peter rose up, and said unto them, Men and brethren, you know how that a good while ago Yahweh made choice among us, that the Gentiles by my mouth should hear the word of the gospel, and believe. And Yahweh, which knows the hearts, bare them witness, giving them the Holy Spirit, even as he did unto us; and put no difference between us and them, purifying their hearts by faith. Now therefore why tempt you Yahweh, to put a yoke upon the neck of the disciples, which neither our fathers nor we were able to bear? But we believe that through the grace of the Lord Yasha Christ we shall be saved, even as they.

To give an image life that was created by one’s own hand is similar to what actors do today. They give life to an imaginary character they portray by acting like the character.

Copied from http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Acting.
While there is a set definition for the word “acting,” there is no set definition for the phrase “to act.” It is thought that the actor is typically supposed to “become the other,” where the actor molds his or herself to the character. In all actuality, the actor should mold the character to his or herself based on common interests and goals that the character needs to achieve.
“Acting is the ability to live truthfully under imaginary circumstances. The foundation of acting is the reality of doing.” -Sanford Meisner.

The false prophets and false leaders used their positions of leadership to persuade people into believing and keeping the ceremonial laws through great swelling words and blaspheming Yahweh, his temple, and those in heaven. Those that kept the ceremonial laws were not accepting a deliverance from their sins, but continued to sacrifice the beasts to cover their sins, thus making the SAVIOR’s sacrifice for them in vain. These people were still bound by their beastly nature.

Those that followed after the real Lamb of Yahweh were persecuted and many were killed.

1 Thess. 2:11-16, As ye know how we exhorted and comforted and charged every one of you, as a father does his children, that you would walk worthy of Yahweh, who has called you unto his kingdom and glory. For this cause also thank we Yahweh without ceasing, because, when you received the word of Yahweh which you heard of us, you received it not as the word of men, but as it is in truth, the word of Yahweh, which effectually works also in you that believe. For you, brethren, became followers of the churches of Yahweh which in Judaea are in the Anointed SAVIOR: for you also have suffered like things of your own countrymen, even as they have of the Jews: who both killed the Lord Yasha, and their own prophets, and have persecuted us; and they please not Yahweh, and are contrary to all men: forbidding us to speak to the Gentiles that they might be saved, to fill up their sins alway: for the wrath is come upon them to the uttermost.
Acts 12:1-3, Now about that time Herod the king stretched forth his hands to vex certain of the church. And he killed James the brother of John with the sword. And because he saw it pleased the Jews, he proceeded further to take Peter also.
1 Peter 5:8-9, Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walks about, seeking whom he may devour: whom resist steadfast in the faith, knowing that the same afflictions are accomplished in your brethren that are in the world.

13:16 And the lamb beast caused all, both small and great, rich and poor, free and bond, to receive a mark in their right hand, or in their foreheads:
17 And that no man might buy or sell, save he that had the mark, (or) the name of the leopard beast, or the number of his name.

The word “mark” means a scratch or etching, that is, a stamp as a badge of servitude, or sculptured figure, such as a statue. Common sense tells us that no scratch or etching has the ability to change one’s character no matter where it is scratched or etched on the body. People have had tattoos for years, and it has not brought them into servitude to the one who tattooed them nor did it change their character.

The word “forehead” in the Greek means “the opposite of countenance.” The countenance is somebody’s face, or the expression on it. The opposite of countenance is what is on the inside—what you can’t see: the mind.

Notice that it is not a chip or a stamp that causes the mark on the right hand or in the foreheads, but the lamb beast, which symbolizes the spirit of antichrist.

The spirit of antichrist is any spirit that is against Christ. Anti is to express or hold an opposing view in political or moral principles; therefore, “antichrist” is expressing or holding an opposing view of Christ’s principles of righteousness.
Sin is the “mark” of servitude to the beast. Whoever you serve, Christ or the beast, you are a servant. The works of the flesh, beast, are these:

Gal. 5:19-21, Now the works of the flesh are manifest, which are these; adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lasciviousness, idolatry, witchcraft, hatred, variance, emulations, wrath, strife, seditions, heresies, envyings, murders, drunkenness, revellings, and such like: of the which I tell you before, as I have also told you in time past, that they which do such things shall not inherit the kingdom of Yahweh.
Rom 6:12-16, Let not sin therefore reign in your mortal body, that you should obey it in the lusts thereof. Neither yield you your members as instruments of unrighteousness unto sin: but yield yourselves unto Yahweh, as those that are alive from the dead, and your members as instruments of righteousness unto Yahweh. For sin shall not have dominion over you: for you are not under the law, but under grace. What then? shall we sin, because we are not under the law, but under grace? Yahweh forbid. Know you not, that to whom you yield yourselves servants to obey, his servants you are to whom you obey; whether of sin unto death, or of obedience unto righteousness?
In Revelation 14:1, Yahweh’s people were to have his mark in their foreheads. If the mark of the beast was a literal mark, then the mark of Yahweh would have been also. When the Holy Spirit was poured out upon the believers, they were sealed with the mark of righteousness in their hearts and minds (Eph. 1:14). They were set apart from those with the mark of the beast by their thoughts and actions.

If the mark was the literal number 666 etched on the skin, what difference would it make what hand it was etched on? The mark on the right hand of the “unbelievers” symbolized the strength and power generated by their own carnal minds, while the “believers” strength and power came from Yahweh.

Ps. 17:7, Show your marvelous loving kindness, O thou that saves by your right hand them which put their trust in you from those that rise up against them.
Ps. 20:6, Now know I that Yahweh saves his anointed; he will hear him from his holy heaven with the saving strength of his right hand.
Isa. 41:10, Fear thou not; for I am with you: be not dismayed; for I am your God: I will strengthen you; yea, I will help you; yea, I will uphold you with the right hand of my righteousness.
Those with the stamp as a badge of servitude from the beast could not buy into righteousness nor sell righteousness in the power and authority of their beastly nature. Remember Simon wanted to buy the Holy Spirit from Peter and was rebuked (Acts 8:19-22).
Matt 16:26-27, For what is a man profited, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul? or what shall a man give in exchange for his soul? For the Son of man shall come in the glory of his Father with his messengers (angels); and then he shall reward every man according to his works.
Matt 6:20-21, Lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust does corrupt, and where thieves do not break through nor steal: for where your treasure is, there will your heart be also.

The church of Laodicea was encouraged to purchase from the SAVIOR gold tried in the fire that they might be rich in righteousness. The wearing of white raiment symbolized purity. They were also told to purchase eye salve in order to see the fruit of the Holy Spirit, the weapons used in spiritual warfare. Their purchases were not literal, but spiritual that they may understand the Word of Yahweh and be clothed in righteousness and to function in Yahweh’s Kingdom (Rev. 3:17-18).

Col. 2:1-7, For I would that you knew what great conflict I have for you, and for them at Laodicea, and for as many as have not seen my face in the flesh; that their hearts might be comforted, being knit together in love, and unto all riches of the full assurance of understanding, to the acknowledgement of the mystery of Yahweh, and of the Father, and of Christ; in whom are hid all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge. And this I say, lest any man should beguile you with enticing words. For though I be absent in the flesh, yet am I with you in the spirit, joying and beholding your order, and the steadfastness of your faith in Christ. As you have therefore received Christ Yasha the Lord, so walk you in him: rooted and built up in him, and established in the faith, as you have been taught, abounding therein with thanksgiving.

Isa. 61:10, I will greatly rejoice in Yahweh, my soul shall be joyful in my God; for he has clothed me with the garments of salvation, he hath covered me with the robe of righteousness, as a bridegroom decks himself with ornaments, and as a bride adorns herself with her jewels.

As long as the church used the beastly nature to control their emotions and actions, they could not manifest righteousness.

The first time the Anointed Word of Yahweh was sold for a price was for thirty pieces of silver in order to satisfy a greedy spirit. Remember that the SAVIOR was Yahweh’s Word made manifest in flesh (John 1:14).

Matt 26:14-15, Then one of the twelve, called Judas Iscariot, went unto the chief priests, and said unto them, What will you give me, and I will deliver him (the WORD) unto you? And they covenanted with him for thirty pieces of silver. (Judas delivered the WORD unto the unbelievers so they could destroy it.)
Matt 27:3-10, Then Judas, which had betrayed him, when he saw that he was condemned, repented himself, and brought again the thirty pieces of silver to the chief priests and elders, saying, “I have sinned in that I have betrayed the innocent blood.” And they said, “What is that to us? You see to that.” And he cast down the pieces of silver in the temple, and departed, and went and hanged himself. And the chief priests took the silver pieces, and said, It is not lawful for to put them into the treasury, because it is the price of blood. And they took counsel, and bought with them the potter’s field, to bury strangers in. Wherefore that field was called, The field of blood, unto this day. Then was fulfilled that which was spoken by Jeremiah the prophet, saying, “And they took the thirty pieces of silver, the price of him that was valued, whom they of the children of Israel did value; and gave them for the potter’s field, as the Lord appointed me.”

Notice that both beasts came up out of the earth, out of earthen vessels. That which is of the earth is the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eye, and the pride of life. All that is worldly is manifested in man’s beastly nature.

1 John 2:15-16, Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him. For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world.

In the above scripture, John is not dealing with the globe; he is dealing with the fleshly desires within hearts and minds of mankind.

13:18 Here is wisdom. Let him that has understanding count the number of the leopard beast: for it is the number of a man; and his number is Six hundred threescore and six.

Here we see man and beast functioning on the same level. Keep in mind that each image of the leopard beast that the unbelievers created took on a life of its own, that is, they each had the ability to express, act, and react. Mankind was created to be in the image of the Father. But at this time they were battling with the beasts they had created in their ignorance.

2 Cor. 3:15-18, Even unto this day, when Moses is read, the vail is upon their heart. Nevertheless when the heart shall turn to the Lord, the vail shall be taken away. Now the Lord is that Spirit: and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty. But we all, with open face beholding as in a mirror (glass) the glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory, even as by the Spirit of the Lord.

People often use metaphors to describe a person’s actions or feelings. It is not unusual for a person to be called an animal. When a person is called an animal, we know that person is acting or reacting like a certain animal in their situation. The person is in the image of that animal and has taken on its personality. I have listed a few animal characteristics given to people below.

Some have more than one meaning.
wolf – somebody who is regarded as greedy and cruel or is sexually aggressive, a predatory man
cat – a woman who is regarded as spiteful or malicious
goat – a man who is regarded as lecherous, that is, expressing or displaying lewdness and lust in a way regarded as distasteful
ostrich – somebody who tries to avoid unpleasant situations by refusing to acknowledge that they exist
peacock – one who is arrogant, fostering feelings of pride.
chicken – somebody regarded as cowardly or excessively timid, showing a lack of courage, or too scared to do a particular thing
weasel – a sly or underhanded person
bear – somebody regarded as ill-tempered
snake – somebody perceived as betraying or deceiving others
pig – someone who is regarded as slovenly, greedy, or gluttonous
monkey – somebody who behaves badly, annoyingly, or high-spiritedly
fox (outfoxed) – to defeat somebody by being more cunning, to confuse or baffle somebody, deceive
fox (foxy) – sensually alluring; clever in a cunning or deceitful way
tiger – a fierce, brave, or forceful person
dog – somebody regarded as unpleasant or contemptible
mouse – somebody that is timid or cowardly
lion – somebody brave and strong, or fierce
worm – somebody regarded as contemptible, especially because of behaving in a groveling way, someone who torments, undermines, or corrupts somebody from within
parrot – somebody that repeats what somebody else says, does, or writes without thought or understanding
donkey – somebody thought as lacking intelligence
mule – somebody regarded as stubborn or difficult to deal with
pigeon – somebody who is easily swindled or deceived
jackal – somebody who works with an accomplice to deceive people, especially to swindle them
vulture – somebody who waits for the chance to exploit a vulnerable person
shark – somebody that cheats others, to make a living as a cheater or fraud
These animal characteristics describe actions or feelings of people. The FATHER created animals to have their own personalities and mankind to have his. Man and beast were created on the same day, and man was told to take dominion over the beasts. But instead, some people allow the beastly nature to control them.

Gen. 1:26-27, And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creeps upon the earth. So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them.

Wisdom 2:23, Yahweh created man to be immortal, and made him to be an image of his own eternity.

Yahweh’s goal is to bring mankind into his image and after his likeness. To fall short of his goal is to have a force greater then himself; therefore, that force becomes a god. But there is no greater power than Yahweh’s.

1 Chron. 29:11-12, Yours, O Yahweh, is the greatness, and the power, and the glory, and the victory, and the majesty: for all that is in the heaven and in the earth is yours; yours is the kingdom, O Yahweh, and you are exalted as head above all. Both riches and honor come of you, and you reign over all; and in your hand is power and might; and in your hand it is to make great, and to give strength unto all.

When Yahweh created man, he placed within him the ability to be in his image and gave him a desire to excel and to never be satisfied until he achieves the FATHER’s goal. Even as a young boy fails to reach his father’s image in his immaturity, so does Yahweh’s children fail to be an expression of LOVE in their immaturity.

Mankind was made subject to vanity, not willingly. The FATHER created him in a state of ignorance knowing that he would eventually mature into his image. The FATHER knew that mankind would be delivered from the bondage of corruption into the glorious liberty which he planned for his children (Rom. 8:20-21).

In his ignorance, unconverted man has given the Creator personalities like his own. Whatever he imagines his Creator to be, he will allow himself to be. If he imagines him loving and kind, then he strives to be loving and kind. If he falls short of that image, he feels condemnation. But if he imagines a vengeful and angry Creator, he feels justified when he is vengeful or angry.

Man cannot know the image of Yahweh according to his five senses because Yahweh is Spirit (Jo. 4:24). Man’s carnal mind creates images of Yahweh according to his carnal understanding, which is always after one’s own likeness or after the characteristics of the animal kingdom because these are things he can see with his natural eyes.

Yahweh is infinite and is not limited in a body of flesh and blood, but he can, however, be defined and felt by his Spirit of Love. In order for man to be in the image and likeness of his Creator, there must be a true image that he can see, understand, and compare to otherwise, there would be no way for him to measure his progress.

Yahweh created the earth and all that is in it to reveal himself. All that he created reveals his eternal power and Godhead to his creation (Rom. 1:17-20), but without the Holy Spirit, man can only measure the FATHER by that which he perceives and not by the Spirit of Love and Righteousness.

When a young boy desires to grow up to be like his father, there is something that he sees or feels in his father that he strives to be like. He automatically measures himself against his father’s image. The father, in reality, becomes the measuring stick for his son’s life. Because the heavenly Father is Spirit—not visible to the natural eyes, he gave his Son in a tangible body to express His image.

John 8:28-29, The SAVIOR said unto them, “When you have lifted up the Son of man, then shall you know that I am he, and that I do nothing of myself; but as my Father has taught me, I speak these things. And he that sent me is with me: the Father has not left me alone; for I do always those things that please him.”
John 14:10-13 “Do you not believe that I am in the Father, and the Father is in Me? The words that I say to you I do not speak on My own initiative, but the Father abiding in Me does His works. “Believe Me that I am in the Father, and the Father in Me; otherwise believe on account of the works themselves. “Truly, truly, I say to you, he who believes in Me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do; because I go to the Father” (NAS).

Until the SAVIOR came as a visible manifestation of Yahweh, Yahweh passed over people’s childish imaginations (Acts 17:30), but when the SAVIOR gave Yahweh’s creation a visible image of the Father to measure up to, they were instructed to be like him.

Matt. 5:48, Be ye therefore perfect, even as your Father which is in heaven is perfect.
Eph 4:13-15, Till we all come in the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of Yahweh, unto a perfect man, unto the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ: That we henceforth be no more children, tossed to and fro, and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the sleight of men, and cunning craftiness, whereby they lie in wait to deceive; but speaking the truth in love, may grow up into him in all things, which is the head, even Christ:
Phil. 3:12-15, Not as though I had already attained, either were already perfect: but I follow after, if that I may apprehend that for which also I am apprehended of Christ the SAVIOR. Brethren, I count not myself to have apprehended: but this one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind, and reaching forth unto those things which are before, I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of Yahweh in Anointed SAVIOR. Let us therefore, as many as be perfect, be thus minded: and if in anything you be otherwise minded, Yahweh shall reveal even this unto you.
Heb 13:20-21, Now the God of peace, that brought again from the dead our Lord Yasha, that great shepherd of the sheep, through the blood of the everlasting covenant, make you perfect in every good work to do his will, working in you that which is well pleasing in his sight, through the Anointed SAVIOR; to whom be glory for ever and ever. Amen.
James 1:2-4, My brethren, count it all joy when ye fall into divers temptations; knowing this, that the trying of your faith works patience. But let patience have her perfect work, that you may be perfect and entire, wanting nothing.

The Father’s image was not clear in the Old Testament, but his image was made clear in his Son. Man did not like the image they saw because they loved evil more than good; therefore, they crucified the visible image of the FATHER. Just as carnal man does today, they fought for the right to act according to their beastly nature.

Yahweh’s image was seen in the SAVIOR making it possible for mankind to measure himself according to the Word and deeds of the SAVIOR. But as the written Word, was handed down from one generation to another and translated over and over to describe that image, Yahweh’s image became distorted. Therefore, without the Holy Spirit within the heart of man, he is left with his own imagination to create an image of the Father to measure himself by. As the Holy Spirit revealed Yahweh’s Spirit to the believers, they begin to mature into the image of their heavenly Father. They began to manifest the spirit of righteousness and holiness.

2 Cor. 3:17-18, Now the Lord is that Spirit: and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty. But we all, with open face beholding as in a glass the glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory, even as by the Spirit of the Lord.

Some believe Yahweh is angry at people for having fleshly desires. He is described as having feelings of wrath, hatred, jealousy, revenge, murder, impatience, and even the desire to destroy entire ethnic groups, which are attributes of the beast itself. If mankind is to be in the image of the FATHER, Christ would not have commanded them to be perfect (mature) even as their FATHER in heaven (Mat. 5:48). After all, they were created to be in his image. If Yahweh has characteristics like the beast, mankind could then remain in his first nature and would have no need for a SAVIOR.

Some crucify Yahweh’s true image today just as they did over two thousand years ago, while others continue to mature in righteousness and true holiness.
Yahweh is not threatened by any force against him especially man’s. He does not have inordinate and uncontrolled feelings of hatred or anger. Neither can he manifest a violent behavior toward those who deny truth and act unrighteous. He is not impatience nor does he have the desire to seek revenge on those who do him wrong. He does not wish evil or harm to any of his creation because he is love. Yahweh works all things after the counsel of his own will (Eph. 1:11; James 1:18), and Love never fails (1 Cor. 3:18).

Rom. 8:18-21, I reckon that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us. For the earnest expectation of the creation (creature) waits for the manifestation of the sons of Yahweh. (Yahweh’s image being seen in man) For the creation (creature) was made subject to depravity (vanity), not willingly, but by reason of him who has subjected the same in hope, because the creation (creature) itself also shall be delivered from the bondage of corruption into the glorious liberty of the children of Yahweh.

Rom. 5:5, And hope makes not ashamed; because the love of Yahweh is shed abroad in our hearts by the Holy Spirit which is given unto us.
Eph. 4:22-24, Put off concerning the former conversation the old man, which is corrupt according to the deceitful lusts; and be renewed in the spirit of your mind; and that you put on the new man, which after Yahweh is created in righteousness and true holiness.

Paul gave the church of Colossians some advice on how to come into the image of Yahweh.

Col. 3:2-17, Set your affection on things above, not on things on the earth. For you are dead, and your life is hid with Christ in Yahweh. When Christ, who is our life, shall appear, then shall you also appear with him in glory. Mortify therefore your members which are upon the earth (not godly); fornication, uncleanness, inordinate affection, evil concupiscence, and covetousness, which is idolatry: for which (things’ sake) the passion (wrath) of Yahweh comes on the children of unbelief (disobedience): in the which you also walked some time, when you lived in them. But now you also put off all these; anger, wrath, malice, blasphemy, filthy communication out of your mouth. Lie not one to another, seeing that you have put off the old man with his actions (deeds); and have put on the new man, which is renewed in knowledge after the image of him that created him: where there is neither Gentiles (Greek) nor Jew, circumcision nor uncircumcision, Barbarian, Scythian, bond nor free: but Christ is all, and in all. Put on therefore, as the elect of Yahweh, holy and beloved, bowels of mercies, kindness, humbleness of mind, meekness, longsuffering; forbearing one another, and forgiving one another, if any man have a quarrel against any: even as Christ forgave you, so also you do. And above all these things put on love (charity), which is the bond of perfectness. And let the peace of Yahweh rule in your hearts, to the which also you are called in one body; and be you thankful. Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom; teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord. And whatsoever you do in word or action (deed), do all in the name of the Lord Yasha, giving thanks to Yahweh and the Father by him.

Paul said, “above all these things put on love.” For a description of “love” read First Corinthians the thirteenth chapter. It is a wonderful description of Yahweh’s character.

1 John 4:16-17, We have known and believed the love that Yahweh has to us. Yahweh is love; and he that dwells in love dwells in Yahweh, and Yahweh in him. Herein is our love made perfect, that we may have boldness in the day of judgment: because as he is, so are we in this world.

We are told to try the spirits to see whether they are Yahweh’s Spirit being manifested or man’s spirit being manifested (1 John 4:1). If there are no difference in Yahweh’s Spirit and man’s spirit, how can we try the spirits? The SAVIOR said that we would know the false prophets only by their fruits because they look like sheep but in reality they have a wolf’s spirit (Matt. 7:15-16).

Paul tells us how to tell the difference between the beastly nature of the unconverted man and his Heavenly FATHER’s nature.

Gal. 5:14-25, All the law is fulfilled in one word, even in this; “You shall love your neighbor as yourself”. But if you bite and devour one another (beastly characteristic), take heed that you be not consumed one of another. This I say then, Walk in the Spirit (Yahweh’s character), and you shall not fulfill the lust of the flesh. For the flesh lusts against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh: and these are contrary the one to the other (opposite in nature): so that you cannot do the things that you would. But if you be led of the Spirit, you are not beneath (under) the law (you are within it). Now the works of the flesh are manifest, which are these; adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lasciviousness, idolatry, witchcraft, hatred, variance, emulations, wrath, strife, seditions, heresies, envyings, murders, drunkenness, revellings, and such like: of the which I tell you before, as I have also told you in time past, that they which do such things shall not inherit the Kingdom of Yahweh. But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, meekness, temperance: against such there is no law. And they that are Christ’s have crucified the flesh with the affections and lusts. If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit.

Yahweh’s laws do not bring condemnation upon those who walk in the fruit of the Spirit. His laws were set in place to bring judgment upon the beastly nature of mankind.
