Unto Us A Son

He stood in Jordan’s swift waters,
As the Father sent his love;
Revealing the perfect lamb of Yah,
By the sign of a snow white dove.

All truth was opened unto Him,
And He knew the dreadful cost
That He must pay on Calvary,
To redeem and save the lost.

He could have stepped from the water,
And turned the other way,
But chose the cross and crown of thorns,
The price that we should pay.

I want to walk upon His path;
My life is not my own.
Give me a cross and crown like His,
So I can carry on.
