In our day, the promise of a reward with a special place in a physical heaven just for them causes some to be obedient to a religious concept. Another is that once you confess your sins, all is forgiven, and this is repeated over and over and the life of the person never changes, no real salvation.

Genesis 12:19-20, reveals male dominance as a custom of Abraham and Sarah’s day. This custom is being rejected by the time Titus was written because the Holy Spirit revealed that there was no difference between male and female in the sight of Yahweh (Gal. 3:28). If it is not understood why the wives were told to be obedient to their “own” husbands, one might come to the same conclusion as many do today, saying that women are mentally incapable of thinking as an adult and should not depend upon the Holy Spirit to lead them.

  2. In what way did the SAVIOR appear unto the Christians?  In kindness and love

  3. Why does the SAVIOR save any person? See John 6:38-40. It is the Father’s desire, which is to be fulfilled by the SAVIOR, the Holy Spirit, because he is merciful.

  4. How does the SAVIOR save people? By the washing of regeneration (baptism agreement) and renewing of the Holy Spirit (the Holy Spirit making his abode in us – guide, comforter, teacher).

  5. Verse 7 tells us that we are made right by the “grace” of Jesus Christ.  What does the word “grace” mean? It is the divine influence of the Anointed Word upon our hearts and its reflection in our life (it is the Anointed Word revealed “in” us and “to” us).

  6. Is this grace shed on “all” people or only those who ask? See Acts 2:16-17. It came through the ANOINTING before we were born and given freely unto all mankind. We must recognize that all mankind does not desire righteousness or the power whereby it comes. They love evil more than good and lies more than righteousness (Psa. 52:3).

  7. In verse 9, what 4 things did Paul say to avoid?

    1. foolish (stupid) questions

  8. Why did Paul say to avoid the thing in verse 9? They are unprofitable and vain (empty, idol)
