The power of influence is one of the most unique powers that you can have. It’s not the power of controlling people, it is developing a certain skill of communicating what you want to accomplish so that people will follow you.
In Galatians 3:8, Paul refers to the promise made to the single seed of Abraham, saying, “And the scripture, foreseeing that God would justify the heathen through faith, preached before the gospel unto Abraham, saying, ‘In thee shall all nations be blessed.’”
This four-fold promise is found in Genesis 22:17-18, saying, “I will bless you [Abraham], I will multiply your seed as the stars of the heaven, and as the sand which is upon the sea shore [so many that they can’t be numbered]; and your seed will possess the gate of his enemies, and in your seed all the nations of the earth will be blessed; because you have obeyed my voice.”
This single Seed is to be multiplied and yet remain single. In Galatians 3:16, Paul explains, “Now to Abraham and his seed were the promises made. He said not, And to seeds, as of many; but as of one, And to your seed, which is Christ.” Now we see Christ as that single seed that will multiply as the stars of heaven and as the sand upon the sea shore.
Paul writes to the people in Corinth saying, “For as the body is one, and has many members, and all the members of that one body, being many, are one body: so also is Christ” (1 Cor.12:12).
Christ promised the disciples: “I will not leave you comfortless: I will come to you. . . . At that day you shall know that I am in my Father, and you in me, and I in you” (John 14:18 and 20).
Fifty days after the crucifixion of our Savior, Peter stands up in the upper room and says, “This is that which was spoken by the prophet Joel; And it shall come to pass in the last days, saith God, I will pour out of my Spirit upon all flesh” (Acts 2:16-17). These people were seeing and feeling the manifestation of the Savior being poured out upon, not only them, but upon “all” flesh. He joined himself to all people just as a sperm joins to the egg and becomes one with it. All the people of the earth are his children, his descendants, just as we are.
We are all made one with Christ through the pouring out of his Holy Spirit. If we are Christ’s, then we are Abraham’s seed, and we are heirs according to the promise (Gal. 3: 29). His Holy Spirit was poured out upon “all” flesh guiding, comforting, teaching and bringing our spirits into the image of our Father, into manifestations of love, power, and wisdom. This is his goal, his purpose of being, whether we believer or not, or whether we ask or not, he is still the Savior of sinners, the Savior of the whole world. We, in our sins, are not capable of making such an important decision as to whether we want to be saved from our sins – we don’t even recognize or sins most of the time. If it is up to the sinner to make such judgment, then he would have no need for a Savior to be his mediator between him and the Father.
The evidence of Christ’s Spirit being poured out upon all flesh was made evident through those in the upper room (Acts 2). This evidence was given for the unbeliever. They would not have needed proof in such a miraculous way if that pouring out was going to instantly transform them into the image of their Father. The Holy Spirit was the beginning of the new man in his many membered body.
Abraham’s single seed is to be multiplied as the stars of the heavens and sand of the seashore. It is estimated that there are 200 Billion stars in our galaxy. There are so many other galaxies in outer space that they have not all been named, and they say that there are indications that millions of galaxies have not been discovered yet. Science says some of the galaxies that have been discovered have more stars than our galaxy. No one could possibly add up the grains of sand on the seashores. If the world should end today or in the near future it would not be possible for Abraham to have the quota of believers that were promised to his seed. I’m persuaded that this amount is a figurative statement to assure the listeners that he is able to do that which he came into the world to do.
The sands on the seashores and the stars in heaven could also refer to the process and the outcome of the work of the Holy Spirit. Christ said those who believe on him would have rivers of living water flowing out of them (John 7:38). These rivers of living waters eventually make up a sea of information from the Holy Spirit. These truths become the tide that breaks up the stony hearts, which create the sands of the sea. When this happens we become the lights of heaven in the world of darkness – allegorically speaking, we become the stars (see Rev. 1:20).
Christ, speaking to his disciples concerning that day and the people of that day, encouraged them to be strong in righteousness. Knowing the condition of the people of that day he told them to “enter into the kingdom of righteousness at the strait gate.” He said, “Wide is the gate, and broad is the way that leads to destruction, and many there be which go in there at: Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leads unto life, and few there be that find it (Mat. 7:13-14).” Christ knew his disciples were going to be a part of the first fruits of the Holy Spirit that was going to be vital in him bringing in the new man in his many membered body.
In Luke 12:32, Christ assured his disciples, saying, “Fear not, little flock; for it is your Father’s good pleasure to give you the kingdom.” This little flock was not only the disciples and the believers at that time, but the Israelites of the past. He later said, “Other sheep I have, which are not of this fold: them also I must bring, and they shall hear my voice; and there shall be one fold, and one shepherd” (John 10:16). So here we see the Savior not willing that any should be left out. For we are all his children and he will not abandon any one of us to be left totally to our own discretion.
We can identify with our Heavenly Father’s concept when thinking of the good fathers around us. These fathers work hours to provide for their children – even their most rebellious child. They demand that they be educated. They love their children unconditionally and they never give up on them. They protect, guide, encourage and comfort at every opportunity. Their minds are set on their children’s best interest whether they agree or understand. They give them the freedom to express, to experience, and to judge, but when all is said and done they are still in control of their children. They are still directing them into maturity. They never reason within their minds that eternal torture would be a solution to their lack.
These good fathers are the stars mentioned in Genesis 22:17. They are those who have had their stony hearts broken and the Ten Commandments written in their hearts. They, as well as all others that are born in righteousness, are the evidence of that multiplied single Seed. They are rivers of living water flowing together, making up a sea of truth whereby all can learn from. They are those who are used to break up the stony hearts of those in which they flow out unto. They are the lights, the stars that reflect the light of truth in the world of ignorance.
The promise that Abraham would be the heir of the world was not to Abraham, or to his seed, through the law that said if you are related you come in under he who you are related to, but through the righteousness of faith. Faith comes by hearing and receiving the word of truth, so one must have faith in the Word before he can be made righteous, mature in the Father, son-placed to function equally with the Father. For if they which are of the law [of descendants] be heirs, faith is made void, and the promise made of none effect. See Romans 4:13-14.
In Galatians 3:14, Paul refers to the promises as being the Spirit, and in Romans 4:13 he appears to say it is land. It is important for us to understand that the Holy Spirit came to restore life, the life that Adam rejected. Our Father made the earth to be inhabited by us and controlled by us, and in righteousness we will. We inherit this ability through the Holy Spirit; by receiving the Spirit of life, we are enabled to take dominion over the land and natural substances.
The land given to Abraham was “every place whereon the soles of your feet shall tread shall be yours: from the wilderness and Lebanon, from the river, the river Euphrates, even unto the uttermost sea shall your coast be” (Deut. 11:24). The promised land in the natural.
In Revelation 20:8, “satan [the adversary of that day] shall go out to deceive the nations which are in the four quarters of the earth, Gog [a symbol name for some future anti-Christ] and Magog [foreign anti-Christian party], to gather them together to battle: the number of whom is as the sand of the sea.” This has to be figuratively speaking, because Gog and Magog are people against Christ. You couldn’t put that many people in the four quarters of the earth – (Deut. 11:24 and Rev. 7:1.)
“Blessed are the meek: for they shall inherit the earth” (Matt. 5:5). The Israelites could not be partakers of this promise given to Abraham’s seed without being partakers of Abraham’s faith? (See also John 8:34-39 and 44.)
Paul and his kinsman according to the flesh are “the patriarchs, and from them is traced the human ancestry of Christ, who is God over all, forever praised! Amen. It is not as though God’s word had failed. For not all who are descended from Israel are Israel. Nor because they are his descendants are they all Abraham’s children. On the contrary, ‘It is through Isaac that your offspring will be reckoned.’ In other words, it is not the natural children who are God’s children, but it is the children of the promise who are regarded as Abraham’s offspring” (Rom. 9:5-8 NIV, See also, 30-31.)
According to Galatians 3:14, the substance of the promise is the Holy Spirit, and the fruit, or evidence, of the Spirit is (Gal. 5:22-23) love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, meekness, temperance.
Paul said, “For the creature was made subject to vanity, not willingly, but by reason of him who has subjected the same in hope, Because the creature itself also shall be delivered from the bondage of corruption into the glorious liberty of the children of God” (Rom. 8:20-21). Here we see all coming into righteousness because of the Creator’s hope, according to his reasoning and ability
“Even as Abraham believed God, and it was accounted to him for righteousness. Know ye therefore that they which are of faith, the same are the children of Abraham. And the scripture, foreseeing that God would justify the heathen through faith, preached before the gospel unto Abraham, saying, In thee shall all nations be blessed. So then they which be of faith are blessed with faithful Abraham” (Gal. 3:6-9).
“Now is the judgment of this world: now shall the prince of this world be cast out. And I, if I be lifted up from the earth, will draw all men unto me. This he said, signifying what death he should die” (John 12:31-33).
In the allegory of Sarah and Hagar, Hagar represents natural Israel. See Gal. 4:24-26. It was prophesied that her son, Ishmael, would be a wild man. His hand would be against every man and every man’s hand would be against him (Genesis 16:12), allegorically speaking Ishmael represent natural Israel. This allegory was given so the people could understand that their place in the family of Yahweh is not determined according to their physical birth – their connection to flesh.
If Abraham, Sarah, Isaac, Hagar, Ishmael, Sinai, and Jerusalem are used symbolically, it stands to reason that the land of Canaan was also.
The genealogical blood-line of the seed is given in Matthew chapter one, and we see Jesus at the end of the record.
In 1 Timothy 1:4, Paul writes, “Neither give heed to fables and endless genealogies, which minister questions, rather than godly edifying which is in faith: so do.” Paul knew the importance of keeping genealogies until the Son of Yahweh was born into the world, but he also knew from that point on the natural bloodline ended because the Savior did not have children and he fulfilled his purpose in bringing all people unto the Father – he made all people descendants of the Father by pouring his Spirit out upon the whole world.
If the natural blood-line was important to keep after Christ, then he would have had to have natural children to keep the genealogical roll going. If it was important, then there would be no doubt of who is wife was and his children.
According to Eph 2:8-10, it is by grace that we are saved through faith; and that not of ourselves: it is the gift of God: it is not of works, lest any one of us should boast. For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them. KJV
Ephesians 2:11-13 addresses the Gentile (pagan) nations. According to verse 14, Christ has broken down a wall of division. What two nations had been separated by this wall? Israel and Gentile
According to Ephesians 2:14-19; and 3:5-8, what two dramatic things happened to these two nations when the wall was broken down? They became one new man in Christ.
“For he is our peace, who has made both one, and hath broken down the middle wall of partition between us; Having abolished in his flesh the enmity, even the law of commandments contained in ordinances; for to make in himself of twain one new man, so making peace; And that he might reconcile both unto God in one body by the cross, having slain the enmity thereby: And came and preached peace to you which were afar off, and to them that were nigh. For through him we both have access by one Spirit unto the Father. Now therefore you are no more strangers and foreigners, but fellow citizens with the saints, and of the household of God” (Eph. 2:14-19).
“Which in other ages was not made known unto the sons of men, as it is now revealed unto his holy apostles and prophets by the Spirit; That the Gentiles should be fellow heirs, and of the same body, and partakers of his promise in Christ by the gospel: Whereof I was made a minister, according to the gift of the grace of God given unto me by the effectual working of his power. Unto me, who am less than the least of all saints, is this grace given, that I should preach among the Gentiles the unsearchable riches of Christ” (Eph. 3:5-8).
Christ did not destroy the Ten Commandments, he destroyed the ceremonial laws that prevented the people from coming into maturity. The ceremonial laws “covered” the sins of the people and the people were left immature.
If the white people in America were truly the lost ten tribes of Israel, it would be impossible for the Father to restore them to their own land (natural Israel), seeing how they and their forefathers, unaware of their identity, have mixed and remixed with other nationalities until some of them would have no more that 1/1000 % of that nationality flowing in their blood? The promise is to the believers, or those who have faith
